Projects
It stands to reason to connect the passion for music with the passion for software development, in order to produce software tailored especially to support students and teachers using computer technologies, but also to leverage computational power in musicological and theoretical research.
A major concern to me is to incorporate the demand of modern pedagogics for database-driven and student-centered learning systems into software development, in order to produce applications of higher value than standard E-learning programs that can only prove an answer »right« or »wrong«. A product adhering to this methodology that quite recently has come into existence, is the visualisation software AnaVis. Using AnaVis, music teachers can initiate discussions in their classroom, while staying in the background fulfilling almost only moderating function.
Some of my software projects are co-productions with Prof. Dr. Ulrich Kaiser.
